Annual Christmas Program
Welcome to St. Tim's
We have many fun and exciting activities to offer our youngest members, starting with Sunday Church School.

*SCS~Sunday Church School runs Sept.-May beginning at 10:30 a.m., following the church service on the 1st & 5th Sundays.  On the 2nd & 4th Sundays, they will join the 0-3 year olds and leave following the children's sermon. On the 3rd Sunday - the Youth Choir sings and there is no Sunday School.

Our members can start SCS at the age of 3 and graduate when they are in the 6th grade. After that, they move on to confirmation through 7th, 8th & 9th grade. In SCS we follow the church year with Spark's Activate Faith curriculum. This curriculum allows children to learn about Jesus as they explore lessons based on the Gospel for the day.

*EVENTS~There is something fun going on almost each and every month here at St. Tim's for our youth. In September we our education programs kick off with the return of  the Sunday church school and Confirmation. In November, we make baskets and deliver them to homebound members for Thanksgiving.  December is a very special time in which we celebrate and learn about Christ's birth together as well as present a Christmas Program put on by our youth! This month, adults, the confirmation students and Sunday school students join together to go Christmas caroling to our shut-ins.  We also take time to enjoy our annual bake and craft sale.   In the spring we celebrate and learn more about Christ's resurrection, and our youth host our annual Easter Egg Decorating and Hunt for children. June allows us to get in our spring cleaning and donate items for our annual garage sale.  In the summer we have Vacation Bible School where the children come and learn about God each evening for a week. Every couple of years our confirmation students are given the opportunity to experience life outside of the 'norm' with a week-long mission trip.  August brings our annual National Night Out potluck.  August is also the time to join other Lutherans at the annual Lutheran Night with the Twins.  There are many exciting things going on here at St. Timothy's, please stop by to visit to check them all out!

*CHILDREN'S SERMON~During worship each week, Pastor Hal invites all the children to join him for a short story-time or mini-sermon for our youth. Here at St. Tim's, we strongly believe in making our children an important priority of our church family.

*CHOIRS (see Music below)

*BUSY BAGS~As you enter to worship, please help your child help themselves to one of our children's activity bags located on the stand outside the sanctuary. Inside, children will find small stories, crayons, color books-many fun little things to keep little hands busy during worship.

*NURSERY~ As you enter through our front doors, you can find the nursery through the doors on your left. Our nursery has recently been remodeled, painted and restocked.  Feel free to use this when your little ones can't quite make it through the service.

Again in the fall of 2011, the second and fourth Sunday of each month, until the spring of 2012, we are continuing our program for babies and toddlers up to age 3.  Immediately following the children's sermon, parents may bring their infants and toddlers into the nursery.  (Older students are also dismissed at this time to help and take part in a shortened Sunday School.)  There they will have supervised play and activities appropriate for their age until the end of the service.  This will give parents a break and an opportunity to hear the sermon uninterrupted while giving the children an opportunity to learn about Jesus.

Please feel free to contact our church office for more information and/or if you'd like to volunteer and share your gifts with our youth! We'd love to have you!
